Rockford home sales for July 2008 have been a little slower than past years however Rockford properties are still selling.

4 single family Rockford homes went into “pending” status at the end of July (50% of which our office sold) and 3 Town homes sold.

The Rockford town homes that sold were located in The Meadows addition which is where the old Rockford school used to be on CR 33, now these were originally priced in the mid to upper $375,000 range which was always way to much for those in that area and in turn very very few sold and in fact those that did turned into rentals. The Rockford development was foreclosed on in 2007-2008 and the bank offered the Rockford town homes at the price they should have always been in the mid $200’s and now they are selling.

The Rockford single family homes that sold were in the range of $190,000 – $240,000 plus one acreage home in the $400,000 range.

Rockford currently has 48 single family homes for sale with an average asking price of $260,000, now this does include the new construction homes, remove those and the average Rockford asking price is $228,447.
