As we fast approach Halloween, 2010 is just around the corner. The real estate market has not felt quite as fast to most homeowners and many questions are still flying around about how Rockford really sits overall. I took some time this morning and gathered the latest market statistics for Rockford and here they are:

New listings are up 4.2% from same time last year
Closed sales are up 9.1% from same time last year
Median sale price is down 1.4%
Average days on market are down 37.6%

Now these numbers are based off a published update from the Board of Realtors but keep in mind these numbers are not “dissected” at all, they are numbers they see off MLS activity without taking into consideration if the home was listed prior and what price the property was originally nor do they distinguish new construction homes v.s. existing homes and foreclosures. To gauge a true number you should look at it in depth.
