Now that we see some white stuff out there and I hear more on the way lets make sure all of us local Rockford residents are aware of the snow rules.

Rockford city ordinance 801.08 prohibits the parking of a vehicle on or within 6 feet of the roadway in the areas zoned for non-residential between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. and the parking of a vehicle on or within 6 feet of the roadway in the areas zoned residential between the hours of midnight and 8:00 a.m., during the period from Nov 1, 2008 to April 15, 2009.

Your vehicle will be towed if found in violation.

Rockford city ordinance 901.04 states all snow and ice must be removed from public sidewalks within 24 hours of snow.
