89th Ave Reconstruction Project
The City of Maple Grove awarded the 89th Ave Street reconstruction project contract on July 21, 2008, to Hardrives, Inc. They are responsible for all work on the project, including that of subcontractors.
The project will consist of improvements to the existing street and miscellaneous utility improvements on 89th Avenue from Elm Creek Boulevard to Monticello Lane. The construction will occur in three different phases:
Phase Streets
1 Elm Creek Blvd to Magnolia Lane
2 Magnolia Lane to Zachary Lane
3 Zachary Lane to approximately Monticello Lane
Substantial completion in each phase will be done before moving to the next phase.
Utility improvements include the replacement or repair of catch basins and the addition of storm water.
Street improvements will include the removal and replacement of damaged concrete curb and gutter, removal and replacement of the existing bituminous surface, the repair of the driveways affected by construction and the restoration of the boulevard areas.
Construction has begun and will continue through the Fall of 2008. Construction hours are 7 AM to 7 PM Monday through Friday and 8 AM to 7 PM on Saturdays if needed. This schedule is weather dependent and may be delayed due to poor weather or unforeseen construction related problems or delays.
