Winter is just around the corner. Last year at this time we already had snow on the ground. If you’re worried about the rising heating bills of winter there is some good news for homeowners, The Minnesota fix up rebates and funds are back in action for 2010.
The program offers homeowners a low-interest loan for energy efficient upgrades of up to 25 – 35 percent on qualifying upgrades and improvements of their home. The list of improvements include heating and cooling systems, windows, doors, insulation, light fixtures and water heaters.
The program has a maximum loan amount of $35,000, with a 5.9% rate for 20 years. To be eligible your household income must be $96,000 or less and own your own property.
