If you’re like me, you use a blender often. It chops up all the stuff we toss in and in the end it produces the results we were looking for right? Now take real estate and more specifically real estate agents and their ideas for marketing your home. You will find 3 basic types (sure their could be more but these are the most common):
- Agent #1 thinks the MLS stands for “My listing sold” and figures that’s the only ingredient their blender needs so its all they do and then kick up their feet & wait for the offers to pour in.
- Agent #2 thinks the only ingredients they need are the MLS, a big fat company logo behind them and a final sprinkle of some local newspaper ads to top it off and push “chop mode” and then the offers will simply pour in the hypothetical “sold” glass at the end of the day.
- Agent #3 doesn’t “think” first off, they “know” that their blender needs to be filled with the secret recipe they have safely stored in their mind – this recipe has been proven time and time again and agent #3 is also smart enough to keep an eye out and an open mind to new ideas as the world changes and technology advances.
Our office is full of agent #3’s… for instance if we want to attract buyers to “homes for sale near the Polaris world headquarters” we will do just that – go ahead Google it see what comes up on the top of page 1. When it comes to marketing your home, we know the ingredients to get the results. We have years of proven results and our ingredient list is well diversified between print, social, web, signage, networking and more.
Of course we want you to call us when selling but we also realize that goal may be a little high. That being said, no matter who you choose to market your home, make sure they have more than one ingredient to sell or just like that shake from the blender, the results will not taste good!
