Anoka County is located by Isanti County to the north, Chisago and Washington Counties to the east, Ramsey and Hennepin Counties to the south, and Hennepin and Sherburne Counties to the west. Anoka falls on both sides of the Rum River, which enters Anoka County approximately 20 miles north of the City of Anoka. The current population of Anoka is approximately 334,000 with a land mass area of 424 square miles which includes 22.6 square miles of water.
