History & Business Background
I was born and raised in Minnesota and a 1990 graduate of Orono High School. I moved to Rockford MN in 1990 where I also started my first business, an Auto Repair Shop. I found great success for many years in that business and I was lucky enough to build many relationships with local people that have helped my Real Estate career today. In 1999 I sold my business and started my Real estate schooling at Pro Source Real Estate School in St. Paul Minnesota where I successfully graduated in 2000. While in school I worked with a close friend building homes which has been a great asset to my Real Estate career having provided me with the inside knowledge of how homes are constructed, as of today I have helped in the complete construction of multiple properties. Since then I have been working full time with a great team of agents and continually taking more classes to stay up to date with all the latest tools. See our awards and recognition articles here

More About Derrick Monroe
I spend most of my free time working in and around my home; yard work is always relaxing and enjoying time on my motorcycles. I am married with a wonderful little girl and dogs have always been a huge part of our life. Currently I have 3 great dogs, Barney, Harley and Bear. I am a full time Realtor very committed to doing the right thing both in and out of the office. Hobbies include, motorcycles, hot rods, yard work, working on cars and carpentry.
